Natural Cleaners
You don't need to spend money on 20 different cleaners for 19 different
household cleaning jobs. For most anything you need to clean in your
house, you can use white vinegar mixed with water in a spray bottle (rinse
surface after using if you don't like the smell) or baking soda mixed into a
paste as an abrasive. To clean your toilet bowl, mix the two together: pour
1/2 cup baking soda and 1/2 cup white vinegar in, scrub, then flush. Ivory
liquid is good to have around because if you mix it with water in a spray
bottle, it will control pest insects in your garden.

Recipe
Baking soda or 1 part white vinegar to 4 parts
water.

Mix ½ cup borax in 1 gallon of water.

Mix 1 part white vinegar to 4 parts water.

Pour ¼ to ½ cup white vinegar in a bucket of
water.

Mix a paste of borax and water.

Use ½ cup white vinegar or ½ cup baking soda
per average load.

Sprinkle rugs with baking soda, then vacuum
thoroughly.

Use baking soda for most jobs.  Salt or borax
may be used for tougher jobs.

Pour boiling water down the drain, followed by
¼ cup of baking soda, then ¼ cup of vinegar.
(Best used as a preventative measure, rather
than when drain is clogged.)

Rub the stained area with ½ lemon dipped in
borax.  Rinse.

Mix 1 part lemon juice with 2 parts olive or
vegetable oil.
