Falls Church Natural / Native Plant Gardens
Despite its urbanization, the City
of Falls Church has some
excellent natural areas in public
parks. For example, both West
End Park, near the W&OD bike
trail bridge, and Cavalier Trail
Park, on S. Maple Ave., have
wonderful native plant
communities that you can visit
and enjoy.

In addition, many private
homeowners have native plant
gardens. Many of these gardens
are open to the public during the
annual Arlington-Falls Church
Watershed-Friendly Garden Tour
(usually in June).

Here are two slide shows that provide pictures of
native plants and gardens in Falls Church. These
presentations are part of the natural gardening
classes offered through Falls Church Recreation and
Parks. (Note: Because they contain many
photographs, these are large files.)
